Top surgery is gender-affirming chest surgery: masculinizing mastectomy for trans men and nonbinary patients, or breast augmentation for trans women. At ECGA in Stockholm, board-certified plastic surgeons perform top surgery from €6,100, with surgery dates typically within 30 days of consultation and patients welcome from all of Europe.
Which top surgery techniques do we offer?
We offer three masculinizing mastectomy techniques, chosen with you at consultation based on your anatomy and goals:

Double incision with free nipple graft — the most common technique, suited to most chest sizes. The breast tissue is removed through two horizontal incisions and the nipples are resized and repositioned for a masculine chest contour.

Semiareolar / periareolar — incisions follow the edge of the areola, leaving minimal visible scarring. Best suited to smaller chests with good skin elasticity.

Double-circular (donut) technique — a circular incision around the areola that allows for smaller skin excision around the areola and can position the areola 1–2 cm higher, an option between the two above.
Some patients benefit from additional liposuction of the para-axillary area (from €1,000) in combination with mastectomy for the best contour.
For trans women, we perform breast augmentation with implants (from €4,500), tailored to your preferences and proportions at consultation.
Top surgery at ECGA starts from €6,100 for both double incision and semiareolar/periareolar mastectomy. Breast augmentation starts from €4,500. Every price includes general anesthesia, compression garments, and all follow-up visits — physical and digital. Your exact quote is set at consultation, since BMI and breast volume can affect the price.

Who can have top surgery at ECGA?
You must be 18 or older to undergo gender-affirming surgery with us. At your first consultation we review your goals, your health, and any documents or referrals needed, so you leave with a clear personal plan. Patients travel to us from across Europe — digital consultations are available for international patients.
Most patients return to office work within 7–10 days of top surgery, while heavy physical work takes 2–4 weeks. Avoid exercise and heavy lifting for 2–4 weeks. Your compression garment — included in the price — is worn day and night for the first 4 weeks, then during the day or night for another 4 weeks.
All follow-up visits are included in your price, and most can be done digitally — important for patients returning home across Europe. Your surgeon gives you a personalized recovery plan before you go home.
